Q: How long have you been a member of HB Ski
Club?
A: I joined the Club in February 2005.
Q: Why did you join the club?
A: I wanted to meet local people who enjoy
skiing as much as I do.
Q: Skis...or Snowboard? Why?
A: My daughter and I tried snowboarding and
then skiing. We had more success on skis so that’s the direction we took.
Q: Are their any other sports or activities you
enjoy?
A: Yes, cycling with the SCOR bike club. These
are the folks that produce the Solvang Prelude and Century Rides. I also enjoy
hiking when I find the time to do it.
Q: Ok--now for the work questions... what do
you do to earn a living so you can go on our fabulous trips?
A: I am the Administrative Assistant to the
Public Works Director in the City of Signal Hill. It’s a great place to work
and I am lucky to work with some really terrific, fun people.
Q: What is the one thing you think no one would
ever guess about you.
A: After graduating college, a high
school friend and I left NY and traveled for two months across country. We
slept in a pup tent and cooked on a sterno stove. Our trip covered 17,000
miles, and visited as many states, points of interest, friends and relatives,
and National Parks, as possible. Gas was 37 cents per gallon and KOA
campgrounds cost $2.00 per night. We had no set itinerary and just decided on
our next destination at the campsite each night. It was an excellent adventure.
Off the wall: (optional—answer any you’d like)
Q: What is your pet peeve?
A: Insincerity.
Q: What do you think was the best TV show of
all time?
A: The Carol Burnett Show. The humor is
timeless.
Q: If you could have dinner with anyone Past or
present who would it be?
A: Eleanor Roosevelt |
